One product · several real jobs

One chess game. Less rebuilding after it ends.

ChessZCam is being built for people who record, explain, review or broadcast physical chess. Choose the problem you actually need to solve—without reading every technical detail first.

The shared problem

The game ends. The mechanical work begins.

Different users feel the same friction in different ways.

01Creators rebuild positions

They rewind footage, identify each move, recreate the digital board and then align graphics with the video.

02Organizers update overlays

A volunteer may need to follow the board manually while also managing cameras, names, scores and the stream.

03Coaches prepare lesson material

Before discussing decisions, they first need a usable move record from the physical game.

Questions before trying it

What to know before you try it.

Is ChessZCam already a finished commercial product?

ChessZCam is currently in early-access beta development. Public status, requirements and known limitations are documented on the website.

Does every chess player or parent need it?

No. A normal camera recording can be enough for many families. ChessZCam is intended for people who need a digital position, PGN workflow, overlay or live viewing alongside the physical game.

Does ChessZCam replace electronic chess boards?

Not in every situation. Electronic boards remain an excellent fit for official and multi-board coverage. ChessZCam explores a lighter phone-camera workflow for selected boards and smaller production teams.

Is move detection guaranteed to be perfect?

No. Results depend on camera stability, lighting, board visibility, device performance and operator review. The product includes correction-oriented workflows because real venues are imperfect.
