Same data. Different feeling.

From “where is my board?” to “whoa, my name looks cool.”

Kids (and adults, we see you) light up when a pairing sheet looks like a game UI. Parents share it. Volunteers breathe. Organizers look… almost relaxed.

Four pillars · not fifty feature bullets

The work around Swiss-Manager — in one calm workspace.

Use one module or the full flow. Small school event? Large multi-section weekend? Same idea: less copy-paste, more tournament soul.

Smart registration

Import messy Forms / Excel / CSV, map columns, clean names & ages, spot duplicates — then export Swiss-Manager-ready player files.

Premium pairings

Load Chess-Results or a pairing file. Pick a template. Print or WhatsApp pages that make Round 4 feel like a broadcast.

LAN score hub

Phones and helpers send results to the central PC on the venue network — no “cloud required” drama when the hall Wi-Fi is… creative.

Winner Studio

Build prize schemes, verify awards, and generate posters that kids actually want to screenshot. Arbiter still confirms the truth.

Rating impact preview

See each player's estimated FIDE and MCF rating change instantly, using the official calculation formulas — before results are ever officially submitted.

Built for organizers · respect for arbiters

SwissMax is not a pairing engine. On purpose.

We do not replace Swiss-Manager. We do not invent official tie-breaks. We do not pretend to be a FIDE-endorsed plugin. Chief Arbiters keep the authority they earned — SwissMax handles the sweaty operational layer around it: data, communication, LAN collection, celebration graphics.

Keep the Swiss-Manager skills you already have. Upgrade the rest of tournament day.

SwissMax is independently developed by zonChess and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Swiss-Manager or Chess-Results. Product names are used only to explain compatibility and workflow.

A friendly chess community, for real

We’re not selling “disruption.” We’re selling fewer headaches — and more pride.

SwissMax grows from real halls: late pairings, missing ratings, category mix-ups, helpers with phones, kids asking if their name is on the wall. Feedback comes from organizers and Swiss-Manager operators who know what “Round 5 starting late” feels like.

Functions today are focused — and we’re honest about that. InsyaAllah the longer plan is a bigger toolkit that helps players, organizers and the wider chess community share beautiful moments without forcing everyone to learn a brand-new pairing religion.

Inside the app

Quiet UI for loud tournament days.

Frequently asked

Clear expectations. Soft sell. Hard boundaries.

Does SwissMax replace Swiss-Manager?

No. Swiss-Manager remains the pairing, ranking and official tournament-administration system. SwissMax is an independent companion for operational and presentation tasks around it.

Does SwissMax need the internet?

Most processing and graphics run on the organizer PC. Internet is needed for Chess-Results links or external sharing. LAN scoring is for the venue network — not “score from another country on 4G.”

Will I need to relearn pairing?

Nope. Bring the Swiss-Manager skills you already have. SwissMax upgrades communication, data cleanup, LAN collection and celebration graphics.

Can several sections run at once?

Yes. Pairings, scoring and winners keep section data separate so U12 Board 1 doesn’t accidentally become Open Board 1. (We’ve all had that nightmare.)

Is this only for huge events?

No. One-person school events benefit from cleaner data and faster pairings posts. Bigger events benefit from multi-section and LAN helpers. Same toolbox, different scale.

When can I download it?

SwissMax remains in controlled pre-launch testing. Public checkout is not open yet. Register interest for release timing and supported-workflow notices.

What does “lifetime licence” mean?

It means the purchased SwissMax base product does not expire. Free updates are included for two years from purchase; after that, you may keep using the last version covered by your update window.

How do the trial discounts work?

Purchase on days 1–7 after trial activation for 40% off (USD 23.99), or on days 8–14 for 25% off (USD 29.99). The regular one-time price is USD 39.99.

Why does Windows show "Unknown publisher" when I install SwissMax?

Honest answer: because we haven't paid a certificate authority for that trusted-publisher badge. It costs real money every year, and we'd rather that money go into building more chess tools than into convincing Windows we're a "real company." So yes, expect a SmartScreen warning on first install — check the file hash we give you, click "More info → Run anyway," and know we're not chasing profit here. SwissMax exists because we love this game, not the other way around. We'll revisit it once SwissMax has grown enough to justify the cost.
