SwissMax and ChessZCam are not on sale yet. No checkout is open on this site and no payment is taken. This page sets out how we plan to handle purchase problems once sales begin, so you know the rules before you ever pay. ChessZCam package prices are published on the ChessZCam page; SwissMax pricing will be announced separately. Everyone on the waitlist receives the early trial first.
Both apps are pre-release development builds today and are still being tested at real tournaments. Because nothing is sold yet, there is nothing to refund yet. When checkout opens, the final requirements and terms will be published before anyone pays, and this policy will be updated to match.
zonChess is built by one independent developer and chess parent in Malaysia (Motivace Studio). A refund request reaches that developer directly.

A SwissMax refund request should be submitted within 14 calendar days of purchase. These are the situations we expect to cover, and the ones that normally fall outside the policy. ChessZCam follows the same request process, with its own eligibility published before its checkout opens.
Your rights come first. These limits do not remove any statutory rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. Motivace Studio may also approve a reasonable good-faith request based on its circumstances.
Product by product
Everyone on the waitlist receives the early trial first. It is an evaluation before any purchase, not a refund window, and no payment is taken merely for using it.
If a trial build reaches the end of its evaluation period without a purchase, trial access simply expires. Nothing is charged.
A Windows 10/11 (x64) companion that works beside Swiss-Manager. Eligibility will be judged against the computer requirements and licence scope published before checkout.
Swiss-Manager and the arbiter keep authority over pairings and official results, so decisions made there are outside this policy. SwissMax launch status.
The Android phone app, ChessZCam Studio for Windows and ChessZCam Live (for vMix & OBS). Its product-specific eligibility will reflect the Android phone, Windows PC, lighting and venue-network requirements published before checkout, and it uses the same request process below.
ChessZCam is sold as full licences: one payment per package (Studio first, then Mobile and Creator Live in their own release phases). Orders are confirmed by hand and the licence key is sent once payment is confirmed; there is no automated checkout. The ChessZCam refund window and eligibility will be published here before orders open — until then no ChessZCam payment is taken. The free Studio trial is not a purchase.
Detection accuracy depends on setup and video quality, which is why we recommend the early trial first. What a good setup looks like.

We will never ask you to give up your statutory rights in exchange for technical support. Game video and tournament files stay on your own device; send them only if you choose to.
