Privacy Policy

zonChess builds ChessZCam and SwissMax. This policy explains what we collect when you use zonchess.com, why we need it and what choices you have. We do not sell personal data.

What we collect

• Waitlist: name (optional), email, signup source, time, hashed IP for abuse control.
• Contact / feedback / blog comments: name, email, message content, type/rating where applicable, time, hashed IP.
• Visit analytics: page path, referrer, approximate device/OS/browser, a random browser key and approximate country when available. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the visit table; a one-way hash is used for deduplication and abuse control.
• Orders and licensing (when sales open): purchaser name, email, country, order/product identifiers, payment status, licence key/activation records, eligible app version and support history. The payment provider processes card or payment credentials; Motivace Studio does not need to receive the full card number.

How we use it

• Notify subscribers about meaningful product updates, testing invitations and launch information.
• Reply to support, refund, and product questions.
• Moderate public reviews and blog comments before they appear.
• Improve the product and website (which pages matter, what breaks).
• Fulfil digital orders, issue receipts or licence access, prevent abuse and keep legally required transaction records when sales open.

SwissMax tournament data

SwissMax is designed as a local-first Windows application. Registration files, pairing data, rankings, organizer profiles and generated graphics are processed on the organizer's computer by default. Motivace Studio does not receive that tournament data merely because SwissMax is running. Data may leave the computer only when the user deliberately loads an external service, shares a file/link, sends a support attachment, or uses a separately disclosed online feature.

Sharing

Website data may be stored on our Hostinger hosting/database and optionally relayed to the developer through Telegram or email for operational notifications. When the hosting provider does not supply a country header, the analytics system may use ipwho.is to resolve only an approximate country from the visitor IP. The resulting country is cached against a one-way IP hash. When sales open, order and payment-status data may also be shared with the disclosed payment processor or merchant of record for payment, tax, fraud prevention, fulfilment and refunds. We do not sell or rent your information. Public pages only show approved comments or reviews, never the submitter's email address.

Retention

Waitlist and support messages are kept while the project is active or until you ask for deletion. Order, tax, fraud-prevention and licence records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution periods after sales open. Analytics may be pruned periodically. You can request deletion or correction of eligible records via the Contact form.

Cookies / local storage

We use browser local storage for language preference and a random visitor key used to avoid counting the same browser repeatedly on the same page within a short period. Admin login uses an HttpOnly session cookie.

Children

The site is aimed at parents, organizers, and creators. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 for marketing.

Contact

Privacy questions or data requests: use Contact. We usually reply within 24–48 hours. Motivace Studio will verify requests where necessary to protect the account holder.
