zonChess / ChessZCam is a small solo project. This policy explains what we collect when you use zonchess.com, and why. We do not sell personal data.
What we collect
- Waitlist: name (optional), email, signup source, time, hashed IP for abuse control.
- Contact / feedback / blog comments: name, email, message content, type/rating where applicable, time, hashed IP.
- Visit analytics: page path, referrer, approximate device/OS/browser, optional country (when available), hashed visitor key — used to understand traffic, not to profile you for ads.
How we use it
- Notify waitlist members about beta / launch and supporter discounts.
- Reply to support, refund, and product questions.
- Moderate public reviews and blog comments before they appear.
- Improve the product and website (which pages matter, what breaks).
Sharing
Data may be stored on our Hostinger hosting/database and optionally relayed to the developer via Telegram or email for notifications. We do not sell or rent your information. Public pages only show approved reviews/comments (name + message — not email).
Retention
Waitlist and support messages are kept while the project is active or until you ask for deletion. Analytics may be pruned periodically. You can request deletion of your email records via the Contact form.
Cookies / local storage
We use browser local storage for language preference (zonchess-lang) and a simple visitor key for analytics dedupe.
Admin login uses a session cookie (HttpOnly).
Children
The site is aimed at parents, organizers, and creators. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 for marketing.
